I joined SYZ Machine in October 2025. Before that, I already had more than four years of work experience and had always enjoyed international trade. I felt confident in my ability to learn, even though I was moving into a completely new industry. Product knowledge could be learned and working methods could be developed; the more important foundation was the ability to keep learning and solve problems.
At the beginning, I did not even know what ATV and UTV meant, let alone the applications, materials, manufacturing processes, and technical requirements behind the products. Alongside inquiries passed to me by the operations team, I spent much of my time developing new customers. Customer development is a low-feedback process. Sending many messages without a response is normal, but long periods without visible results can still make you wonder whether your effort is useful. My biggest source of anxiety was performance. In the first quarter of this year, my results were below expectations and I began to question myself. Would people think I was not capable? Why could others do it when I could not? I kept returning to one belief: I am neither unintelligent nor lazy. I will not accept that I cannot succeed. If others can do it, I can learn to do it too.
So the work continued. When customer development produced no reply, I continued developing. When a product was unfamiliar, I searched for information, studied images, compared similar products, and then discussed my understanding with my supervisor. Gradually, my product knowledge became stronger and my response rate improved. I have learned that development is a long-term accumulation process, not a daily test of personal worth. I set myself an annual target of RMB 1.5 million, with a minimum personal goal of RMB 1.2 million, even though reaching it will require sustained effort. More important than the number is the way I now respond to pressure. Anxiety itself does not solve a problem. Converting anxiety into action, reviewing what went wrong, and making up for weaknesses are the things I can control.
I am grateful for the clear processes and supportive atmosphere at SYZ, from order confirmation to shipment. Joining SYZ was not starting from zero; it was using the experience I had already built to enter an unfamiliar field and prove myself again. I am still growing, and I am still learning what my greatest gain will be. That unfinished process is also what makes the next stage worth looking forward to.
