Why use 4130 chromoly steel instead of standard carbon steel?

Ball Joints, Tie Rod Ends & Steering Racks

What is a tie rod end and where is it located?

A tie rod end is a steering component made up of a threaded rod, ball joint housing, ball stud, dust boot, clamp ring, castle nut, and cotter pin. It sits at each end of a rack-and-pinion steering rack, connecting the rack to the steering knuckle — this is normally called the outer tie rod end.

What are the symptoms of a bad tie rod end?

Common symptoms are a vibrating or shaking steering wheel, a misaligned front end, abnormal clunking noise, uneven tire wear, and difficulty steering — any of these is worth a steering-system inspection.

What's the difference between a tie rod end and a ball joint?

They belong to different systems. Ball joints are part of the suspension system and support vehicle weight while allowing the wheel to turn and articulate; tie rod ends are part of the steering system and keep the wheels aligned. Both connect to the spindle and work together — the tie rod can’t function without the ball joint also doing its job.

Do tie rod ends need maintenance?

What is TitanX and how is it different from a standard ball joint?

Do you manufacture complete steering rack assemblies, or just parts?

Control Arms & A-Arms

What do control arms do?

Are A-arms and control arms the same thing?

In front suspension systems, a control arm is frequently called an A-arm because of its shape — it’s the same structural link connecting the chassis to the wheel assembly or steering knuckle, just named after its geometry.

Are lower trailing arms the same as lower control arms?

It depends on the suspension configuration. In rear suspension layouts, trailing arms can function as control arms; front suspensions typically use A-arm geometry instead of the linear trailing-arm design found at the rear.

What are the symptoms of a bad control arm?

Can you customize thread size and length on coilover sleeves or piston rods?

Yes. Production is fully drawing-based — we accept any thread specification and custom length or diameter, generally within a 12.5–32mm diameter range for piston rods, plus matching lock collars, spring perches, and lower spring retainers for coilover sleeves. Submit your drawings for engineering review.

What sizes of steering wheels do you manufacture?

The most common sizes are 330mm and 350mm, but we manufacture any size from 300mm to 380mm depending on driving style and cockpit ergonomics — racing builds often prefer smaller diameters for faster steering response.

Are custom steering wheels universal fit?

No. Fitment depends on bolt pattern, hub-bore size, spline specification, and vehicle type, so a wheel specified for one UTV platform won’t fit a different one without adaptation — each product is engineered to your specific vehicle application.

Can I use a passenger car steering wheel on my UTV?

It’s not recommended. Passenger-car steering wheels aren’t designed for off-road vibration, shock loads, and grip conditions, and typically use different bolt patterns and hub sizing. Our steering wheels are engineered specifically for ATV/UTV applications and off-road use.

What materials are used in your steering wheels?
