Custom Shock Eyelets Manufacturer for Suspension Systems

The Critical Mounting Point That Connects Shock to Chassis

A shock eyelet is a critical mounting component used at the end of a shock absorber. It connects the shock to the suspension system or chassis through a bolt and bushing assembly.

It allows controlled rotational movement during suspension travel while maintaining a secure and stable connection — absorbing articulation forces without inducing stress into the shock body or chassis mounting point.

Incorrect bore size, poor machining quality, or mismatched geometry causes installation failure, premature wear, and alignment problems that directly affect suspension performance and component lifespan.

Also referred to as: shock eye mount, shock end mount, or shock absorber eye in suspension system engineering and manufacturing documentation.

Why Custom Matters

Why Incorrect Shock Eyelets Fail Your Suspension

Standard or poorly machined shock eyelets create problems that affect the entire suspension system. Here’s what precision custom manufacturing solves.

Dimensional Inaccuracy Has Consequences

Eyelets with poor concentricity, off-centre bores, or non-perpendicular shank geometry introduce misalignment into the shock mounting — causing uneven load distribution, accelerated bushing wear, and premature failure of the shock itself.

Wrong Fit = Failed Assembly

A bore diameter that is even marginally off — too tight or too loose — creates installation problems. Too tight causes press-fit damage to the bushing. Too loose produces play that generates vibration noise, accelerated wear, and eventual structural failure.

Catalog Parts Don't Fit Custom Builds

Custom shock absorbers, performance suspension systems, and ATV/UTV platform-specific builds require eyelet geometry that catalog standard parts simply cannot match — shank length, OD, bore ID, and wall thickness are all application-specific.

Corrosion and Wear Under Off-Road Conditions

Off-road, ATV, and UTV environments expose shock eyelets to mud, water, and abrasive debris. Generic anodizing with uncontrolled thickness wears through rapidly — exposing base material to corrosion and causing seized bushing assemblies.

Quality You Can't Count On

Suspension brands requiring consistent eyelet supply across repeat orders cannot rely on trading companies — bore tolerances, surface finish, and overall dimensions vary between batches, creating fitment inconsistency in the field.

Bushing Type Must Match Application

Using a standard plain-bore eyelet in an application that requires a rubber bushing or spherical bearing causes premature wear — the dynamic load and angular misalignment of the joint exceeds what a fixed-bore design can handle.
Product Configurations

Shock Eyelet Types & Custom Options

Three core shock eyelet configurations — matched to your suspension design, load requirements, and movement characteristics. All fully customizable in bore size, shank geometry, material, and surface treatment.
Standard Eyelet

Standard

Standard Eyelet

Plain-bore shock eyelet for use with separate bushing assemblies. The most common configuration for custom shock absorber manufacturing and performance suspension builds.
Eyelet with Rubber Bushing

Rubber Bushing

Eyelet with Rubber Bushing

Fully assembled shock eyelet with integrated rubber bushing — providing vibration dampening, angular misalignment accommodation, and noise isolation in the shock mount joint.
Eyelet with Spherical Bearing

Spherical Bearing

Eyelet with Spherical Bearing

High-performance shock eyelet with integrated spherical (rod end) bearing — providing maximum angular freedom, zero compliance, and precision load transfer for racing and performance builds.

How It Works

From Drawing to Delivered Shock Eyelets

Common Questions About Custom Shock Eyelet Manufacturing

Can you customize shock eyelets based on our drawings?
Yes. All shock eyelets are fully manufactured based on your drawings — including bore size, shank geometry, wall thickness, bushing configuration, and surface treatment specification. We do not supply standard catalog eyelets. Please provide 2D or 3D drawings with all critical tolerances to begin the quoting process.
We primarily offer 6061 aluminum for standard strength applications and 7075 high-strength aluminum for performance and heavy-duty builds. Other materials including steel and titanium are available based on your load requirements and application environment. Material selection can be discussed with our engineering team at the quoting stage.
Bore tolerance is controlled according to your drawing requirements. We routinely achieve ±0.01mm bore tolerance for precision bushing and bearing press-fit applications. All bore diameters are inspected against your specified tolerance using precision gauging before shipment.
Yes. We offer both standard anodizing and hard anodizing with controlled coating thickness. Hard anodizing is the most common specification for shock eyelets in off-road and performance applications — providing HRC-level surface hardness and long-term corrosion resistance. Thickness is measured and verified per batch.
Yes. We supply eyelets in three configurations — Standard (plain bore), with Rubber Bushing, and with Spherical Bearing — depending on your suspension design and load requirements. Bushing compound, hardness, and bearing specification can be configured to your application. Please include bushing or bearing specification in your drawing or inquiry.
What information is required to get a quotation?
We require technical drawings with all critical dimensions including bore diameter and tolerance, shank length and OD, wall thickness, overall length, eyelet OD, and surface treatment specification. If bushing or bearing assembly is required, please include that specification. Material preference should also be indicated.
Yes. We support full OEM production including logo engraving on the eyelet body, custom anodize colors, and branded packaging. This is B2B manufacturing only — we do not fulfill retail or single-piece orders. Contact us with your branding requirements at the quoting stage.
We supply custom shock eyelets to ATV, UTV, motorcycle, off-road, and performance vehicle suspension brands. We also supply directly to shock absorber manufacturers who require eyelets as a sub-component for their own assembly and production programs.
Lead time depends on order quantity, configuration complexity, and material availability. Standard CNC aluminum eyelets without bushing assembly can typically be produced quickly after drawing confirmation. Projects with spherical bearing assembly or hard anodize requirements may require additional time. Contact us with your requirement for a specific lead time estimate.
We implement a strict quality control process for every batch — including bore diameter inspection, dimensional verification against drawing tolerances, surface treatment thickness measurement, and batch consistency comparison across samples. Inspection reports are available upon request to support your incoming QC process.
